MSDH confirms 3,255 new COVID-19 cases in weekly report – SuperTalk Mississippi

On Tuesday, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) confirmed 3,255 new COVID-19 cases in its weekly report as cases are on the rise.
The seven-day update brings the state’s total number of recorded cases since the onset of the pandemic to 946,657. With 12 additional deaths, 13,063 Mississippians have now passed away as a result of the virus. Additionally, there are currently 66 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.
Mississippi is averaging 483 daily cases, a 356% increase from two weeks ago. As of October 1, 1,567,597 Mississippians were fully vaccinated.
