The program will run by Leah Jessen, who teaches Clothing Design I and II at Bayonne High School
Fashion Design Camp will return again in the fall, the Bayonne Division of Recreation has announced.
The program is now open. Residents are encouraged to bring their creativity because they “will be designing like a rock star!”
The program is open to Bayonne residents only, children in grades 6 to 8. The program will run by Leah Jessen, who teaches Clothing Design I and II at Bayonne High School.
The program will run for four weeks, on four dates from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Bayonne High School in the Fashion Design Classroom. This includes the following dates: Saturday, October 15; Saturday, October 22; Saturday, October 29; Saturday, November.
“We are thrilled to bring back our Fashion Design Camp!,” said Recreation Superintendent Pete Amadeo. “Our summer program was a tremendous success and we are excited to continue this great opportunity! We have a great instructor with Leah Jessen and we are excited for our youth.”
The cost of the camp is $35 per participant. Spaces are limited.
There are 15 spaces only for this program. This program is open to new participants who did not have the opportunity to register in the summer program.
The registration deadline for new participants is Friday, October 7. Beginning October 8, registration, if available, will then be open for those who did participate in the summer program.
With such limited availability, the city wants to reach as many fashion designers as possible. Register online now at: register.capturepoint.com/CityofBayonne.
